More food….
Last night was yet another night on the culinary tour of Denver and it did not disappoint. Olivéa came highly recommend, and being only three blocks away, I soon found myself enjoying a pint, and about to embark on a food journey that I will never forget. Just take a peek at what I had to enjoy.
First Course: Duck liver mousse, fig compote and pickled red onions
Second Course: Semolina gnocchi with mushrooms and short ribs
Dessert: Chocolate fleur de sel caramel tart with milk chocolate gelato and nougatine crunch
I have one more night to enjoy Restaurant Week, then it is time to put my nose to the grindstone. I met with the Chef yesterday and after the tour of the kitchen and reviewing expectations, he said, “Enjoy the weekend, the beatings begin on Monday.”
Outside of eating, having a few pints, and eating some more, I have been able to get out and view the scenery here and work off some of that food. Enjoy the photo of Downtown Denver. It was taken from the famed Red Rock Amphitheater. If you look really close, you can see the skyline.
